PSEG Energy & Environmental Resource Center

I’m writing in regards to BRAVO! employees Scott Holy, Brian Kelley, Scott Pennington and Scott Kelley, contractors for our EERC building at PSEG. As you are aware, Hurricane Sandy paid us a visit this weekend and wreaked havoc for multiple days. Our building houses the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) for PSEG Nuclear, which is vital to our plant operations as well as public safety in an emergency such as a hurricane. This facility was manned 24 hours per day beginning Sunday night and ending Tuesday evening. “Non-emergency” personnel were not to be in the building, yet there was still a need for maintenance and janitorial duties to ensure the EOF personnel could be focused on the daunting task at hand. You can imagine the necessity for help when at least 30 people are working, sleeping and eating in a small area. On Sunday afternoon, when asked to assist, Brian Keeley and Scott Pennington reported in immediately and stayed the course assisting our staff and maintaining our building. Considering we lost power in the building and needed to react immediately with our backup generator, we were fortunate to have these two gentlemen onsite to help. As our power was eventually restored, it was again BRAVO!’s staff who tested the systems and made sure the building was ready for our regular employees to report back to work on Wednesday. Once the power was restored and the emergency personnel left, all four quickly worked to clean up the area and get our building back into shape. All along your crew promptly responded back to my communications to report the status and keep me and my Director informed. We are truly appreciative of the efforts of Scott Holy, Brian Keeley, Scott Pennington and Scott Keeley. They stepped up to the challenge we were faced with and went the extra distance to make a difficult situation run as smoothly as possible. It is comforting to know that I have a staff I can depend on, especially when I am not present
