Like a beaming parent sending their child off to college, BRAVO! Group Services is thrilled to congratulate Genesis Torres-Romero, daughter of BRAVO! Regional Operations Manager Ana Torres, as the winner of the BSCAI Stephen H. Swigart Scholarship for Higher Education. Spartan Chemical, a long-time supplier to BRAVO! Group Services, established the scholarship program with the BSCAI. With a firm belief in the value of higher education, BRAVO!, also a BSCAI member, enthusiastically offered this scholarship opportunity to all members of its organization.
BRAVO!’s Torres strongly encouraged her daughter to apply for the scholarship. At the conclusion of the application period, Genesis was selected as the winner of the $3,000 education award. With this scholarship, she becomes the first member of her family to attend college and one of the growing number of women to pursue a career in the STEM field. Genesis has begun her studies at college in general engineering, which include challenging classes such as calculus and physics. She aspires to working for Lockheed Martin and pursuing a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, specializing in prosthetics.
